Converting you surplus equipment to cash

1) Lab Clearances (the easy option)

Lab clearances are ideal where you have a short timescale and need to clear your location quickly or raise funds immediately. They are a fast and effective way of removing your surplus laboratory equipment without the need for the long process of auctions, multiple viewings and any of the associated hassle and with the current WEEE regulations your business may have to ensure equipment is correctly removed and processed anyway.

dreamscience help take some of the strain - we visit your site(s), assess your surplus or unwanted laboratory equipment and make you an offer. If you're happy with the offer then we'll transfer the funds immediately and remove all of the agreed items from your location to our storage facility for further processing. It's really as simple as that!  Our equipment assessors are PHD trained and have in depth knowledge and experience regarding most types of lab equipment.

2) Brokering (for higher value items)

Brokering your items can attain a better price but usually takes longer.  We visit your site, appraise your laboratory equipment and advise on what price we think it will attain in the current market. We then negotiate a brokering fee as a percentage of the sale price (you don't pay our brokering fee until the item is sold).

We prepare and photograph your items and record any details to help with the sale.  We can leave equipment in your care or we remove it to our storage facility until a buyer is found.  We complete a full marketing process, including listing on our lab marketplace website, on worldwide sites, via our extensive mailing lists and personal contacts of buyers and users throughout the world.  Once we've found a buyer and negotiated the price we then completely handle the sale process including legalities, shipping and collection of the funds. If a buyer is not found within a reasonable period, we hold commercial auctions for your items with the reserves set buy you.

3) Market Place (the free option - you do all of the work)

You can simply list your surplus on the dreamscience MarketPlace.  You’ll need to take photos and prepare a list, then register at www.dreamscience-lab.co.uk.  You can then upload your text and photos.  Buyers will get in touch directly and you negotiate prices and arrange shipping / collection.  This option is the most work and you can get the most money, but please be aware that you are liable for what you sell with the Market Place option 3.
